Spike Lee Interviews Martin Scorsese

I was thinking about our upcoming Deeper Into Movies screening on Monday (Scorsese's Taxi Driver and Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing) and remembered reading, in Interview Magazine, an article where Spike Lee interviewed Martin Scorsese - which got me excited for the screening.

From the interview:

Scorsese: Sometimes when you're heavy into the shooting or editing of a picture, you get to the point where you don't know if you could ever do it again. Then suddenly you get excited by seeing somebody else's work.

Lee: So you're telling me that Martin Scorsese, the father of cinema, needs inspiration to make more films?

Come to LPR on Monday at 8:30 for a double feature screening of Taxi Driver and Do the Right Thing. This is the only film series where you are encouraged to get drunk and eat tatter tots during the film - can you name another? No. So you should take advantage of that. Oh, and it's free.
