Noah Wheeler was born in St. Louis Missouri and grew up playing stand up bass. His middle school band Aether won the talent show in 1993.
Amy Cooper was born in San Francisco California and grew up tap dancing and playing piano. She taught herself to play guitar when she was 17.
Noah grew up listening to Nirvana, Pixies, Primus, the Residents and anything else his older brother listened to.
Amy grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, the Lemonheads, the Breeders, the Doves and other bands that her older sister would never have listened to.
Noah and Amy met in New York City in 2007, while both playing the same night at the same club. Soon after, Noah joined Amy on the road. While on the road they began writing songs together, the first was called Naked Hearts. When they returned to NYC they had completed almost an albums worth of songs and decided to become Naked Hearts forever.
Preceeding Naked Hearts, Amy released 2 solo albums, Water/Fire (2005), produced by John Vanderslice, and Mirrors (2007), produced by Frank Lenz and released on Retone Records and Rallye/Klee (Japan).
Knight School is a pop band from Brooklyn, NY that plays pop songs. K. Night sings and plays guitar. Chris Mess is on bass and other assorted things. El Gold plays “drums”. Influences spring from the earth and its landscape.
