The Mimesis Ensemble will perform the music of Danielpour, Fairouz, Fulmer, Pamies, Picker, and Tiensuu at LPR on October 5th.
The Mimesis Ensemble is a New York City based ensemble dedicated to promoting contemporary music through dynamic performances. Fostering close relationships with the composers they program, musicians are often coached and/or conducted by the composers themselves. After only one season, the ensemble has worked directly with Martin Bresnick, Robert Cogan, Halim El-Dabh, Pozzi Escot, Anthony De Ritis, Mohammed Fairouz, David Fulmer, John Heiss, Peter Homans, Lansing McLoskey, David McMullin, Malcolm Peyton, Gunther Schuller, and Scott Wheeler.
