2010 Winter Jazzfest Recap

The 2010 Winter Jazzfest was big success this year, and was bigger than it's ever been before. We've got a little press round-up below, but if you didn't go maybe you just shouldn't read these, because it's not going to make you feel like you were there. It's just going to make you terribly sad for the rest of the day.



Time Out listed the "top five reasons...Jazzfest was a smashing success." Number one was:

1. Impeccable booking. This year’s WJF schedule read like a true “everybody who’s anybody” roll call, featuring today’s rising stars (Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society, Vijay Iyer, Gretchen Parlato) alongside their more seasoned counterparts (Dr. Lonnie Smith, William Parker, Nicholas Payton).

The New York Times called Jazzfest the "jazz equivalent of South by Southwest."
