The CMJ Music Marathon first started in 1980 with a modest amount of artists taking part in the weeklong festivities. The New York festival officially turns 30 this year, and the CMJ 2010 lineup reflects this momentous occasion. This year, CMJ will have mote than 1,000 artists performing throughout NYC Oct. 19-23. Spinner has compiled a list of free MP3 downloads of artists performing at CMJ 2010 in order to help music fans in the arduous task of planning which artists they need to see.
